After months of work from staff and parents, the library re-opened this week!
With new carpet, new shelving, new books, a fabulous book arch and an inspiring mural - the library re-opened to the children this week!
Miss Otchere led the re-organisation of the library that has proved to be a mammouth task, going through thousands of books, rooting out those that were no longer fit for a library and integrating hundreds that were donated. Amongst the team involved with the re-fit was parent Anna Thompson, who designed, drew and painted a magnificent mural that encompassed countless book characters. She was also the architect of the book arch that our keen readers now pass through to enter the library. (Thanks also to Anna's husband who was responsible for drilling through many old books for the archway!)
The library was opened by Anna and Karen Tulloch (United Learning English Advisor), who has supported learning in the school for some years now.
