Starting Reception

Starting school should be an exciting experience for both you and your child so we hope that the information we have provided will begin to answer some of the questions you may have and help you prepare you for your child's first day here at Longshaw.
Applying for a Reception Place:
You must apply for a reception class place for your child even if they attend a school nursery or have an older brother or sister at your preferred school. If your child currently attends a nursery attached to a school this does not give them any priority for a place in reception class at that school.
You can apply through the eAdmissions website. Further information is available on our Admissions Page
This guide explains how to apply for your child’s school place online (PDF).
