Change to Admissions Arrangements – September 2024: Consultation
Our Agreed PAN for Reception Intake September 2022 is: 30
The governors of Longshaw Primary Academy would like to give notice of proposed changes to the Academy’s Admission Policy which will apply from the 2024-25 academic year and thereafter, subject to any further consultation.
The draft policy for consultation can be viewed on the link below, or a hard copy is available on request from the school at: email@example.com.

Please send any comments or questions to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Who is consulted?
This consultation is for the attention of:
a) Parents of pupils at Longshaw Primary Academy;
b) Local Governing Bodies and Head Teachers of schools in the local area;
c) Other persons in the area who have an interest in the proposed arrangements;
e) The local authority;

Reception Admissions Applications
You must apply for a reception class place for your child even if they attend a school nursery or have an older brother or sister at your preferred school. If your child currently attends a nursery attached to a school this does not give them any priority for a place in reception class at that school.
You can apply through the eAdmissions website. The Starting Primary School 2023 guide (PDF) has all you need to know.
This guide explains how to apply for your child’s school place online (PDF).
If you have any technical issues when applying, please go to eAdmissions support page.
If you can’t apply online, you can use the primary common application form (PDF). It has instructions on the back explaining how to submit your printed application.
- arrangements for selecting the pupils who apply
- our oversubscription criteria (ie. how places are offered if there are more applicants than places)
- an explanation of the process you need to follow to apply for a place at Longshaw Primary Academy for your child.
If your child attends a nursery (either attached to a school or independent) a copy of the booklet will be sent home with your child. If your child does not attend nursery or you do not receive a copy, you will be able to download it via the link above or from the Waltham Forest website in September www.walthamforest.gov.uk
