Reception 2023/24 Admissions Applications

Our Current PAN for Reception Intake September 2022 is: 60

Longshaw Primary Academy is currently working closely with the DfE and Waltham Forest for an agreed reduction in PAN numbers to 30 for the September 2024 Reception Intake onwards.

If your child was born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019, you can apply for a reception place in September 2023 through The London Borough of Waltham Forest from September 2022.

for further information you will find our Admissions Policy here.

You must apply for a reception class place for your child even if they attend a school nursery or have an older brother or sister at your preferred school. If your child currently attends a nursery attached to a school this does not give them any priority for a place in reception class at that school.

You can apply through the eAdmissions website. The Starting Primary School 2022 guide (PDF) has all you need to know.

This guide explains how to apply for your child’s school place online (PDF).

If you have any technical issues when applying, please go to eAdmissions support page

If you can’t apply online, you can use the primary common application form (PDF). It has instructions on the back explaining how to submit your printed application.

  • arrangements for selecting the pupils who apply
  • our oversubscription criteria (ie. how places are offered if there are more applicants than places)
  • an explanation of the process you need to follow to apply for a place at Longshaw Primary Academy for your child.

If your child attends a nursery (either attached to a school or independent) a copy of the booklet will be sent home with your child. If your child does not attend nursery or you do not receive a copy, you will be able to download it via the link above or from the Waltham Forest website in September www.walthamforest.gov.uk
