We are delighted that you are considering a place for your child at Longshaw.

Whether you are new to our school or already part of our community, we are excited to begin - or continue - this journey with you and your child.

Starting school is a significant milestone, and we are committed to making it a joyful, nurturing, and inspiring experience for every child and their family.

At Longshaw, we are proud to be an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school, with our Early Years provision judged as 'Outstanding'. This reflects our unwavering commitment to providing the very best start to your child’s education.

Our Reception classrooms are bright, spacious, and full of life. They are thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Through carefully planned activities and engaging resources, children are encouraged to explore, play, and develop the foundations for lifelong learning.

We regularly receive positive feedback from our families. Parents tell us how happy and settled their children feel in Reception, and how much they enjoy coming to school each day. Our pupils behave well, support one another, and show a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

To support our families, we also offer a Breakfast Club from 7:45am and an Afterschool Club until 5:30pm, Monday to Friday—providing a safe, fun, and flexible wraparound care option.
