Applying for Reception

Even if your child currently attends a school nursery or has an older sibling at your preferred school, you must still apply for a Reception place. Please note that attending a nursery attached to a school does not guarantee a place in that school’s Reception class.

How to Apply

Applications for Reception places must be submitted online via the London Borough of Waltham Forest eAdmissions website.

You can apply for a Reception 2026 place from 1 September 2025 until 11:59pm on 15 January 2026. We strongly encourage you to apply early. Applications received after this deadline will be treated as late and may reduce your chances of securing a place at your preferred school.
