Children in Reception to Year 6 are taught regularly by our PE lead, Mr Charles. The curriculum is further enhanced by the dedication to after school clubs run by our PE lead and also external sports provider. We take part in a number of sporting competitions with other schools in the area.
Pupils in Year 6 have the opportunity to become play leaders, supporting and engaging Key Stage 1 pupils in play and activity at lunchtime.
We follow the guidelines set by the national curriculum to ensure that we offer a range of PE activities that allow each child to feel challenged and offer opportunities to progress further.
Swimming - Children in Year 4 attend swimming lessons across the school year.
Bikeability - Pupils in Key Stage 2 get the opportunity to take part in 'Bikeability,' usually in Years 4, 5 & 6. Bikeability is a cycle training programme that teaches children practical skills and gives them the understanding and expertise they need to ride their bikes on the road safely.
Sports Day - Our children look forward to and enjoy our annual Sports Day, competing against each other and for their 'House Team.'
