  • Visual aids to support key vocabulary, concepts and themes
  • Focused and modelled group work with teacher/TA/LSA eg. guided reading and writing
  • Additional in class support from a TA
  • 1 : 1 reading with class teacher & TA and reading volunteers
  • A structured phonics approach to teaching reading and literacy (Read Write Inc)
  • Individual learning targets
  • Lunchtime homework clubs

  • Literacy booster groups for reading, writing and spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Lightning Squad - a tutoring programme which improves reading skills for pupils in Year 1 to 5
  • Read Write Inc. phonics groups

  • Additional 1 : 1 reading support
  • 1 : 1 phonics tuition
  • Toe by Toe (dyslexia programme)
  • 1 to 1 support in class
  • Access arrangements for KS2 SATs
